Hi!
I'm actually in Asia and I'm facing a problem charging my phone bought in Australia.
Yesterday I was walking in the street and it started raining.
When I came back at the hotel, I figured that my phone which was in my pocket was all wet.
I dried it with a towel and everything was working well.
Later in the day, I plugged it to charge it, the led turned red and started charging correctly but after few seconds it stopped. The led turned off too.
I tried it many times, even holdind the on and volume button, using a different cable and charger but nothing changed.
It could charge few more times but always stopped after few seconds...
I could see some condensation in the camera lens.
I always close all slots correctly. (Who doesn't?...) so I was a bit stressed because I bought this phone few months ago specially because it is supposed to be water resistant???
After looking after water problems in forums I could see that this phone is not really like sony advertises it.
Anyway that's not where I want to go.
So my phone is actually in a closed bag of uncooked rice since yesterday night. The condensation disapeared but I stll have the same problem. So I put it back and I'll wait few days...
I heard about humidity sensors getting pink or red after contact with water but I can't see any pink paper in my slots which is cancelling the warranty.
Here are my questions:
_ Where is the humidity sensor?
I would like to know if my phone is still guaranteed to know if I send it to a sony care center when I'm coming back in Australia or if I repair it here changing the battery or something else if it's not under warranty anymore...
_ Did anyone has a similar problem?
Thanking you for your help which I really need.
Contact Sony support, and take your phone to nearest service center. They may examine it and make a vacuum test.
