z2 tablet crashing after 5.0 lollipop

Hi since the lollipop update (4g 16gb EE Z2 tablet) my tablet will hang after using it for a while. Has happened mainly when watching online videos or when waiting for a gif or html5 video to load. Has happened with dolphin browser, firefox and redditisfun app.

The tablet will show whatever I was trying to load but everything will become unresponsive. Home/back buttons don't respond, touch screen does nothing. Pressing powerbutton does nothing (I think the first time it might have gone black but not come back)

To fix I have to hold power + volume up for a few seconds to turn it off.

This never happened before the update.

Also I tried moving apps to sd card (as I thought lollipop added that) but they all say insuficient space (even though there is plenty)

Anything I can try?

does this happen with Chrome? 

you can't move the whole app to the SD card

it will be wise to reinstall lollipop to smooth things out

Hi will any of this backing up back up save game data. I wouldn't want to lose that by doing a fresh install? 

Saying that if it keeps crashing I wont have a choice.

it won't save your app data and you will have to re-download all the apps.

I don't mind redownloading all the apps but losing the save data will be a problem. Is there anything else I can try? I've already tried reinstalling all the apps the tablet crashed on.

nothing I have installed. avg came preinstalled but I've never opened it so no idea if it is doing anything

I'll give it a try. 

If this does work what does it mean? some app that normally runs in the background is causing the problem?

in safe mode all apps I've downloaded are not present. This isn't that great for me as everytime it's crashed I've been usiong a downloaded app. Also all apps which have crashed were present before upgrading to lollipop and I've downloaded no new apps since (apart from redownloading apps that were running when the tablet crashed)

Also nothing seems to always cause the tablet to crash right away it's always after a while of using it. It's like there is a memory leak or the processor is slowly being used too much. Is there a way to monitor this sort of stuff?
