Z2 charging problem

I have to confirm something

Mine is a new Z2 and haven't done anything to the phone when fully charged
the screen turned on by itself and won't off even past 1 minute sleep time.
And yes even I push the sleep button it won't turn off as long as the cable is connected

The charger is original
The phone is new out of the store
Nothing done to the phone

Does Z2 designed that the screen will turn itself on when fully charged?
If so, please release the fix update immediately.

I have traumatic experience on xperia S like locked wifi channels which is intentional
and crappy keyboard layout. But I still trust Sony.... my feeling now is worse than the previous S.

Hi Volinus, welcome to the community!

That is a strange issue, have you done an update on the phone recently?

I see, Volinus. In that case I advise running a software repair on your handset as it's likely to resolve the issue.

To do this, you will need to download PC Companion or Bridge for Mac

Backing up your handset using PC (the repair will delete all user data)

1. Go to Support to install PC Companion on a Windows computer.
2. When installed, start PC Companion on the computer.
3. Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
4. Click Start under Backup & Restore.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Backing up on Bridge for Mac

1. Under Manage Media there should be an option that says back up your Xperia device, click here and the rest of the instructions will be on-screen.

Running the software repair on PC Companion

1. Open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

2. Phone Software Update.

3. Start.

4. Repair Phone

5. Continue

6. Accept data removal

7. Next

8. Wait for prepare

9. Select Phone

10. Follow the connection steps

Running the software repair on a Mac

1. Click Xperia at the top of the screen

2. Click Repair my Xperia Device

3. Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions

Keep us update, I do hope it helps!

I expected this kind of answer.
Well it's like you are telling me that it's my fault that the completely new phone have glitches.

No, it didn't work. I already tried it.
It seems that Sony's QC is quite a thing. There're many guys who got the same issues as me as well.
I just discovered new issues plus the old ones
1.Charging stops at ~90% and wont go to 100%
2.When the charging stops the screen will automatically turned on sleep timer and sleep button fail to turn
it off as long as the cable is connected
3.When connect to a PC the charging status blink as well as orange LED and wont charge
4.When connect to a magnetic docking the charging status blink and wont charge

Hi Volinus

Depending on how new the phone is you may be able to get a resolution from the place of purchase, I advise contacting them asap. If they are not able to assist then contact Sony Xperia Customer Care in your region - you can find contact details by clicking on the link in my signature.
