Hi!

Could you post upper part of this screen (with bar graph and lines and uptime)? Percentage ratio in this graph looks normal. Screen very often takes around 70% of the battery power. Phone Idle is quite high if battery lasted less that 24 hours, in other case it looks good too.

The phone seems to run out of charge too quick, even though its not heavily used and being that it has a 3300 mAh battery, it seems abnormal for it to finish this quick....could it be a software issue..? i didnt even start installing heavy apps.  it loses 1 to 2 percent of battery life every 10 minutes...

The only suggestion I have is to turn your screen brightness down. I did this and installed Tasker app so as to turn brightness up to full when viewing photographs or videos (or any other app that works well with a bright screen) and back down again when you exit those apps. Seems to help my battery so that with normal use I get 2 days no problem.

When you zoom in the graph (click on it) there is a line called "Activity". There should be lots of stripes but not solid long line except the time when screen is on. If it is solid line all the time one of the apps prevents the phone from going into sleep.

In Play Store you can find CPU Spy or CPU Spy Reborn. Could you install one of those apps and put the screen of CPU use?

I'm interested in whether your phone enters deep sleep state and for how long. It may get us rough idea if we need to dig deeper.

Both apps are free and shouldn't require any priviledges during install.

Given the power usage on the screens you get 9.5 hours on 14% of battery.

Assuming that battery is discharging lineary you should get about 68 hours of usage.

68 hours is 2.8 days so it's more than Sony claimed in its advertising.

Standby (deep sleep) at about 70% of time is pretty normal. It looks really good.

Z3 has a very big screen. As soon as it is on battery levels are going down pretty fast. You can increase a bit your uptime by reducing brightness (you can adjust it to lower levels even with auto ON).

Also enable Stamina mode. If you need some apps to be running all the time like email or your favorite messenger add it to exceptions by touching stamina mode menu and then adding apps.

You can also enable location based wifi. Phone will automatically enable and disable wifi when you reach places with already used networks.

Hello,

I have the same problem. My Z3 dual drains the battery faster than my old Z2 (I've compared both at the same time doing the same things).

It's not a matter of using the PC companion for reparing it because it's new and out-of-the-box installed, and it's not a matter of contacting with Xperia Customer care because they don't know anything. They only say "please repair with PC companion" and the second time "please, send the phone to a official SAT".  What kind of response is it?

Best
