Xperia z3 compact Losing mobile data connection

Hi,

I recently received my sony xperia z3 compact and have noticed that after it has been connected to wifi for a long time and then goes out of wifi range it doesnt seem to automatically revert to mobile data and the only wat to get it back seem to be to restart my phone? Im on the 3 network, does anyone else have this issue or know if its related to phone or network or have a fix?

Tried setting APN to IPv4/IPv6......

Unfortunatly with no success.

I reported this issue to my local Sony support centre and am still waiting for an answer.

Well after finding this problem on Sat, Flashing the device (6616) to a D6616_23.1.c.0.399 no signals , no bars with either ATT Tmobile and another brand , nothing , wifi works and no network , Has anyne TRY REPLACING the ANTENNA ? I am about to do it , this device has about 5 im just gonna replace the sticker antenna and the Calbe type one. EFFing sony

Hi Dryder: I called my carrier (T-Mobile) and in my case determined the need for a signal booster for the house. Calls and mobile data working. I am still trying to determine whether it's my hardware (phone) or the carrier causing mobile issues elsewhere. 

I would be interested in Community opinion about swapping out antennas...I suggest posting the the XDA Developers Z3C Forum to see if others have done this. I am curious what you would switch to...the internal realestate of the phone is pretty limited.

update .. 1.  bought a antenna from ebay "antenna signal botom board module  xperia d6616 for 20 bucks, 2. I place it or installed it on the phone , there were no water stickers that were pink, and  I carefully replace the component (bottom antenna ) , and I still get nothing , I change the settiongs recheck my apn and nothing at all ,, very frustrating

Today my phone was updated to 23.4.A.1.232.

It seems that for me the problem is solved.  The phone is responding normal at switching mobile data off and on and if the WiFi is disabled i could use the data connection without failures.

So for now i am happy.

I hope this will also be the case for other users in this thread.

I have a Xperia Z1, and i really wanna know from @Rickard, if you have any news about this fix, for the xperia Z1 (C6943).

My Xperia Z3 compact connects to whatsapp 24/7 and online games i have downloaded, and google and google play before 8am in the morning. After 8am I cannot go into google, banking or google play store, but I can still whatsapp and play games????

If I restart the phone nothing changes, if I can get to a place where I can use WI-FI there is not problem. It seems to be only Google or Google Play that is my problem.......

Frustrating that I cannot use my phone at all other than whatsapp during the day....... nothing wrong with internet connection, it shows full bar and 3G.....

That sounds strange.

Have you been in contact with your operator regarding this? It sounds network related.
