Xperia Z2 Compact - we want it :D

Hi Sony,

We want the Z2 Compact, because that would be awesome. No more flash bleeding on pics, a glass (or metal) back and a 1080p screen. Waterproof. We would love it.

Victor07: the Z2 compact would have the specs of the Z2. Not the same as the Z1.

Not only that, you don't grasp the "Compact" concept. The phone you want is something else, not a Compact.
Compact is a small version of a powerful phone. The best Sony could do is try to pump the screen from 4.3" to 4.5" BUT it is hard because they need space to put the technology inside the phone, starting with the 20mp camera.

What Sony is bringing with the Compact line is unique: powerful phones in small dimensions. So far you don't have anything like the Z1 Compact. The only powerful and small phone is the iPhone. And it's immensely popular because of that.
Sony is bringing that to Android unlike its rivals that produce "Mini" versions of their flagships with mini-specs.

The Z2 compact shouldn't be anything else but a refresh of the Z1 compact with the latest specs and improvements Sony brought to the Z2, like the LED screen tech, the removal of the anti-shatter film and the ability to add wireless charging to it (though I'd prefer to see it built-in)

I went to the shop for buying my dream phone i.e Z1 compact, but there was two problems with this phone , 1- Loudspeakers supposed to be loud but it wasn't 2-the bezels of device were very big , it ruins the overall look. now i am waiting for z2c.

I hope Z2 Compact will be better on the audio department compared to Z1 Compact. I don't so much care about the speaker but rather the sound with headphones. The bass could be better and the sounds a tad louder. Also little tweaks on the camera would be much appreciated. Other than that Z1c is already an amazing phone.

Yes we do..
Z2 - L rather than Z2 - XXL... The dimensions and weight of Xperia T. No 4K... focus on lens and sharp images. Give a long lasting accu of 3000 - 3500. Noise cancelling earphones in box, not optional expensive accesory.
Full HD in 4.7" display, for better pages viewing.

I'm tired of all these people asking to increase the screen size of the Compact series. It's as if they don't grasp what "Compact" means and what market SONY is aiming for with the Compact series. If you want bigger high spec phones, then there's already plenty out there.

People like Victor07 are even crazy enough to suggest a Nexus 4 size for the Compact series. **bleep** no! I hate my Nexus 4 for it's size. My hands and wrists hurt trying to use it. That's why I'm willing to give up the latest Android version and go for the Xperia Z1 Compact.

4.3" is ideal. I would even go so far as to say, if you can reduce the bezel, do that and leave the screen size at 4.3". If they keep the existing Z1 Compact size and make the screen 4.5" I'll reluctantly get it. But any increase in the phone size and it becomes a useless series -- at that point I might as well go to a much larger phone.

A Z2 compact with upgraded camera, screen (not size), flash, materials (glass back), etc would always be a welcome. Although, not sure how long SONY is going to take to release it outside Japan as an international SIM free model.

Yes a z2 compact would be loved..... Just reduce the bezel size a bit and a slight improvement in software.... We don't want fancy stuff... We want fast and productive stuff that fits in our pockets
