Xperia Z wont sync facebook contacts

I have added my facebook account, and clicked the box, to sync contacts. However, nothing happens. No contacts is shown.

I have tried to click update, and even let it rest over the night, in case it needed more time.

It is the exact same problem i had with a Huwai cellphone i bought. I returned it, because their techs could not help me.

Please help me out.

For Xperia z2 Also I got same problem, three days before all contacts available but now not,

Am also tried reinstall, if I sync it shows finished but contact not appear, I think we need to sync from Fb app, but I can't find sync option in Fb app,

You need to unintelligible Facebook from your device. Google older versions of Facebook. I found mine from Zippyshare and downloaded a version from August. Install to allow unknown sources. Install. Then add the Facebook Account to your accounts under settings. Sync. The contact pictures take a couple hours to set up.
