Xperia Z wierd shut down problem~

I got a serious wired problem with my xperia z.

It started last week, with the simcard disconnect and I have to reconnected a couple times.

Then, today it just just down without any apparent reasons. When it's off i try to turn it on again, and it come to the sony logo a couple sec later it shut down. Sometimes it does make it on to the homescreen and shuts down after like 5-10 sconds.. Some times it doesn't make it to the homescreen and just shuts down.

Also, I notice the back is very hot. Is it a battery problem?

Any solutions? I have been using this phone fine for like since I bought it and these things just happen suddenly..

Please help.

This phone is using everything stock.

Android~ 4.3 (as the update hasn't been release in my country yet)
Buil number 10.4.1.B.101

1 - The lack of any Sony rep to this board in the week I've been having issues

2 - The FACT! that although my device is 28 mths old I'm reading plenty of others with newish phones all having this boot loop issue SINCE Lollypop was released,

Is this going to be a Volkswagen style thing where denial and no action is the answer to ruining millions of phones if it does turn out to be the update that has fried the phones? and yes VW did this with an engine that self destructed because of a £2 oil pump shaft that rounded off,

Within the next 3 days I should have a new battery in my hands, if it doesn't sort it and there's no further news, kiss my **bleep** next time if a Sony product has become an HTC and LG lovechild, i.e excrement in plastic and chip form.

I'm sorry you feel that way. There are coverage by Sony representatives and when we're not here there are super users and moderators that can help out with pretty much anything. If you want immediate support we always recommend that you contact your local Xperia support: local support team.

Please post what you've tried so far to solve the issue and we can help you out.

Ok I've had the boot loop etc problem,

Today the new battery dropped through the door,

Installed and the phone booted on it's own again off the charger like it should do,

As the new battery only has 43% in it right now I'm charging it to full or 60% at least and then I'm rolling back to 4.4.4 until 5.1.1 arrives,

I have 5.1.1 on my Nexus 7 and it's not giving any grief, 5.0.2 I believe will take a demolition ball to all but the very strongest battery and quickly destroy it, the forums for Android are full of people with the same issue and stating that 5.0.2 is bugged and causes the phone to drain rapidly and get very hot, sound familiar?

I'll update later when I've had time to fully access the impact of the new battery,

I will conclude this whole sorry episode once I have all the info in front of me as I believe it's important to see it through, the amount of unfinished threads I've read in 4 days is unbelievable, why start a thread and vanish without saying whether it worked or not,

My fix cost £1.95p GBP btw.

Deffo rolling back to 4.4.4,

Since updating and resetting 5.0.2 the phone has got hot and also with just updating and MX player working the old phone isn't charging message appeared even though it's in the wall right now.

@Miffed you don't need to create new threads when adding to an existing one does just as good

I have a 3 month old Z3 dual sim on the 3 and EE networks. The phone constantly shuts down and says sim card inserted / removed. I have tried force stopping stamina mode, and I have tried running the phone in safe mode. It makes no difference.

I dont have the heat issue, other than a day when i was using Google mapping in my car and the problem arose then, but I assumed this was because of my screen constantly on
