Xperia SX - problem with wifi tethering

Hi Guys,

I have bought an Xperia SX (SO-05D) recently. It functions well, except for the following features:

- cannot share my 3G trough wifi tethering - when I turn it on, the device gives me the following error message: 'Network error occurred', and turns off tethering.

- can't send contact information in SMS - 'Content cannot be added to message'

- no option to create MMS

Could anyone provide some help to solve the issues above?

perhaps the APN settings are wrong and/or your SIM card it's faulty

APN settings are correct, got them from the network operator. SIM card is brand new, and functions perfectly with my other phone (can send contacts and MMS).

ok, how about this, some carriers disable this option, since they want you to pay extra to be able to tether, this might be the issue here

I'm pretty sure that this is not the case, as I've tried the wifi tethering with my other phone with the same SIM. It works with the other phone.

try another app like PDA Net and uninstall any taskillers and antivirus

Tried all possible updates, but none of them fixed the tethering problem. Any other suggestions?
