Bought a brand new Xperia SP last week from a local Sony store. However, within 2 days, I felt disappointed to see the touchscreen malfunction from time to time. The touchscreen feels especially glitchy after using the phone for a few hours. The problem being: after continuous usage (for a few hours or so), the touchscreen suddenly stops responding to touches. This issue is temporarily resolved by locking and unlocking the phone. However, it repeats after 3-4 minutes once again until I completely restart the phone. Then, it comes back again after a few hours.
Apart from this, another type of touchscreen issue I'm facing is that during the abovementioned time of unresponsiveness, the screen sometimes registers a single touch as multiple touches, as in ghost touches. If I'm playing a game, the game goes totally haywire, or if I'm in the normal homescreen or such, it opens up a number of applications, settings, and so on. This can be compared to a similar defect in PC, where some bug causes multiple windows of search, calculator, browser, etc to open up and fill up the monitor screen.
I'm sad to see my new phone, that too a relatively recently launched model, behave like this and am at a loss about what to do. Any help is appreciated. Please recommend...
PS: I don't think it's due to overload on the RAM or the processor, because I rarely open more than 3 programs at a time, and after I close an application, I remove it from the 'recently used' screen, and then use a task killer (ZDBox) to kill all unnecessary non-system tasks...
