Xperia P Battery

I´m just wondering why Sony decided to go with a 1305 mAh battery in the Xperia P. Can someone tell me the reason for that? Are there any technical or space limitations in this phone i´m not aware of?
Even the HTC Desire has a 1400 mAh battery altough it was announced exactly two years before Xperia P. I would have loved to buy this phone but as the battery is quiet low compared to other phones, which still last not nearly as long as i´d call it ok, i seriously doubt that i´m going to buy it unless someone told me a really good reason why they decided to stick with a battery which is low like that.

I have xperia P and running with ICS. In the past few days battery is getting drain very quicky without usage.

Yesterday morning 11.30AM IST I have charged the battery upto 100% and didn't use the mobile (expect sending 5sms, 10mins wi-fi internet). So all of the time the phone was idle and today morning around 7 am the battery shows 14% Slightly_frowning_Face

So I went to Sony service center they did software re-instal. The issue did't resolve and again I went to service center and they said there is nothing we can do and it does uses the battery because touch, 3g, wi-fi and like that. But I said I haven't used it still the battery drained.

Does this make sense for sony customers? Even they didn't take complaint and check about this battery and it makes frustration for me Slightly_frowning_Face But I am sure that the battery is problem in mobile and they didn't take care of it Slightly_frowning_Face

I did argue with them and in final simply they said there is new software/firmware is under develpoing that picks up the battery life. Is it? Does anyone know about this?

How can I proceed further with this? With this battery how can I use this mobile? So sony wants the people to spent big money without hoping on sony?

Try installing Juice Defender. Even a free version helps to significantly prolong the battery time.

Battery started draining rapidly out in Xperia P after 3 months of use. I went to the service center and they updated the os and returned it to me. The problem persisted. So I followed the problem on the forum http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/304402 . Its almost proved that it is a hardware problem but the service center people are hesitating to replace. They say they will again test for a day or two and confirm if they will replace it or not. I think the service center people are not trained well.

Has anyone tried to reverted back to GB from ICS? In GB we had good battery backup and we are only having the big battery issue with ICS only.

So I hope if we reverted back to GB from ICS then we again get the good battery backup until sony give fix. If anyone tried this please share your result that would be really big help for us

Since sony doesn't listen about the battery issue. But I hope they should understand as this is really big issue and the customer can't use the mobile without battery

Has anybody found a replacement battery with bigger capacity for this phone yet?

I've been searching everywhere. I'd love to buy a 1500 mAh battery or something like that.

Why can't Sony make it (like samsung does for his phones; for example: http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-extended-battery-galaxy-s3-pre-order-3000mah-40) or at least why doesn't any other company produce it? Like Mugen Power or someone else. They have many other xperia phones extended batteries.

Is there really nothing we can do about that?

Hi all, I am from Bangladesh. I have bought Xperia P by all my savings, & this phone is very much valuable for me because I am from middle class family. Slightly_frowning_Face After buying, i came to know that it has a Non-removable Li-Ion 1305 mAh battery, which is very low. Crying_Face If my phone is jammed, how can i reboot it? How to take care of it's low battery & save it's charge & increase it's lifetime? how to remove it's battery safely if I need to? Does it has other bad sites? Neutral_Face Give me some other tips.
Thankyou. Slightly_smiling_Face
