Xperia M2 Camera Blurry, No Details (sample images inside)...

Hey there!

Not sure, if this is a lens or software issue, but images which I take with M2 are just awful. Blurred, lack of detail. I also have Xperia Arc, which is a 2+ year old phone, and if I compare images, pictures taken with M2 (8mpix) are just far worse. Any sollution to that, or is it only me lucky again with some faulty Sony phone. In short, should I return my phone back or is there any software sollution incoming? Slightly_smiling_Face

Greetings!

Very much disappointed with the camera quality of Sony xperia M2 dual. eveyr time the pics are unclear, blurr and lacck in quality. Even the low cost samsung phone camera quality is better than this one.

Is this a software problem or hardware. Can it be fixed?'

Thanks

Ankit

I have made a post asking if an update would fix the camera because I can't believe they made a 8MP sensor that is so rubish. Even my tiny, 3 year old Sony Ericson Live with walkman with less MP is better than this!

The only thing I can think about is an intentional firmware crippling so that the phone is not so close to the Z family in terms of quality. Yes there is the more RAM and more processing power difference but for most people they know it is over the top all that power, but camera can be a decisive factor...

I tried an app called HD camera Ultra, it gives a slightly better photos but we lose some features. I'm also gonna try, tonight, a more pro app that is on sale right now.

Hello, xperia m2, as we know, have very bad pictures. I will buy it, but will be some actualization to new firmware which repair that problem. The photos have a big noise and photo quality is too low. But its only firmware problem will sony fix it? And when that update arrive? Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

R u guys serious... I own. M2 and. The cam does an awesome job outdoor... First I thought the pictures weren't gud but.. When I display it on my TV... Woow it. Is awesome.... In low light it is poor.. But definitely better than grand 2 and others such devices.... Watch some cam reviews of m2 by indian reviewers.. Like geekyranjith..... And learn to use the most out of ur cam..

Below this text there are 4 examples of what comes out of my M2 camera. I checked with my friend, who has the same phone and also went to the shop and checked with their M2 phone....Those two phones make sharpi pictures, mine is faulty, as simple as that. So a warranty repair on schedule. Slightly_smiling_Face

Guhanrocky, I've been dealing with photography for more than 15 years now...It is my humble opinion that I can use a camera no matter to what type of device that photographic sensor is conected to Slightly_smiling_Face I just got a bad luck with faulty phone and I believe (from some complains) I might not be the only one...

Hi, I bought Xperia M2 about a week ago, expecting Sony's experties on camera and walkman, and overall technology.  What a disappointment!!  I wanted a good camera, good music device, good responsive GPS, removable battery, SD slot, reasonable OS and RAM, and of course the price, but not Samsun or HTC.  Then I reached Xperia M2.

Yes incredible noise with its pics, I have never seen such a bad quality, that kind of noise on blurred photos even with bright environment.  If you blow them up, disgusting black dots everywhere.  I think you are right, Sony must be trying to give sharp pic, but it is just made it worse.

Walkman app gives me a headache too, micro seconds blank gap while playing music, once per a music sometimes more and other times less.  Embedded battery..!! my mistake...

As for GPS, my Previous HTC was working OK without wifi, but this one, not at all!!  And I am not sure why but I can not connect to mobile network, so GPS is practically useless at the moment.

And, need a bit of finger power to tap...

Headache after headache, I can see the camera need to be given up.  This problem seems to be notorious with this mobile.  At the moment, I feel I wish I can return it .... I can not find support for M2 on Sony site as well....Is this mobile going to be OK with the time goes by...? Just need to get used to?
