My xperia M c1904 was purchased two days back. It came with the latest build out of the box. But the display has a bluish tint and excessive white tones. As a result snaps, games and apps does not produce accurate colours. Also the brightness level is low compared to my xperia sola and xperia miro. I have tried a software repair but the problem is not solved. I have read in a site that some other users are also having the same issue. Is anyone out there having similar problems with their display? Iis this a defective hardware issue or can be fixed by software updates? Im from India.
There might be different hardware revisions but i have no information on what difference there may be.
As mentioned earlier there might be differences in colour and brightness between phones even of the same model but if you suspect there's a problem with the display in your phone i suggest you contact a service location for further investigation.
And could you get this information about PM-490-BV AAB version?
I'm not able to get that information for you but all displays used are up to the strict Sony quality control standards. If you suspect there's a problem with colour reproduction or viewing angles in your unit this must be investigated by an authorized service location.
Okay, where can I get this information?
???
I've bought xperia m yesterday. And the screen disappointed me. Blue tinted photos look ugly, people have a "dead" look.
Red colours seem purplish. And greys are bluish.
On this photo you can compare colours on my old xperia arc and new xperia m. I prefer my old phone.
Though this photo isn't color correct, you can see that the picture on top is blue comparing to the picture on bottom.
In real life the defference is even stronger.
Do something with it. It's impossible to enjoy my new phone 😞
My god, I have a same problem with my Xperia M. the display has a bluish tint, and it's very disturbing my eyes when playing videos or photos. Im From Indonesia
I have to admit I rarely post photos of these things anymore so I want to say thanks for doing this.
I think the Sony comments that this may be not be true is unfair. The examples you've given in these photos make it absolutely clear. There is no doubt that the pictures are very blue and it looks bad.
I bought mine XPeria M in Slovakia and have the same bluish tint on my photos. But from my POV display is ok. Only problem is with those "blue" photos. Is there a plan to release update to get rid of it?
It's the same picture on both phones in the photo above.
I took the picture by xperia m camera and then copied it to xperia arc.
So the blue color comes from display, not from xperia m camera.
Xperia m camera adds too little blue color and it looks like a noise, so the principal amount of blue color goes from screen
