Xperia M has bluish tint on display and excessive white tones

My xperia M c1904 was purchased two days back. It came with the latest build out of the box. But the display has a bluish tint and excessive white tones. As a result snaps, games and apps does not produce accurate colours. Also the brightness level is low compared to my xperia sola and xperia miro. I have tried a software repair but the problem is not solved. I have read in a site that some other users are also having the same issue. Is anyone out there having similar problems with their display? Iis this a defective hardware  issue or can be fixed by software updates? Im from India.

It's hard to say if there's something wrong with your phone from here. I would recommend that you contact a service location to have your phone checked if you suspect a problem with it.

A lot of people complain of screen in Xperia M. In the shops are spartphones with two different screens

Good Display(probably in German and English Shops)

Bad Display(too saturated and unnatural colors, too much blue and purple colour) Probably it's C1904 version for shops in India.

It is  a third version (average quality- a bit too purple screen). Probably in Czech and Polish Shops.

You should issue an formal communication on this matter! Why Sony divides countries into better and worse?

Some variations in color and brightness between phones, even of the same model, is normal. If you suspect there's a problem with the display i do however recommend that you contact a service location for further investigation.

I'm not sure what type of formal communication you want but this information is available in the warranty document that comes with the phone (can also be found on www.sonymobile.com).

Differences in the quality of the screens in Xperia M are too big. Many users in different forums complaining about the screens and Sony should do something about it!

This is not an isolated incident

Are you on the latest version of the firmware that is released?. Maybe an update might fix the issue.

All Xperia M in shops have 15.1.A.1.9 firmware.

Problems with screen have most of C1904 Xperia M. Some phones in C1905 version also have this problems.

ps. viewing angles in  Xperia M also could be better:smileysad:

Hopefully Sony might release a patch or update to fix the issue then if multiple users are reporting the issue.

I have seen on internet forums many people are talking about this display and camera issue. But it is not clear is it a hardware issue or a glitch that can be repaired via a software updte. If this can be fixed via software update then sony should release it quickly before it cause more damage to the brand name. Even the gsmarena review also found the screen to have bluish tones.
