Xperia Arc S - Accelerometer Issues

Hi, Recently i noticed that my accelerometer wasn't functioning properly,
the problem is that its very 'wobbly' even if i lie my phone on a flat surface

the when i test it (using Z-device test) the applicationn shows that the accelerometer
is detecting movment and hence wobbling all over the place, its not a huge problem
it just makes it very difficult to use any applications that utilise the accelerometer.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The jittering is normal and how the service test looks for all phones that can test the accelerometer. And I would say that both you and I get the same result doing this test. So the accelerometer seems to work just fine according to this service test.

Thanks everyone managed to get it open. When i leave my phone on a flat service values for
x, y and z constantly jitter by roughly + or - 0.1, is this normal or do i need to send my phone
for repairs?

the z coordinate should be 10+  check it again..

others please check and share what values you get..

x- 0.23 ( something )

y- 0.2 ( something )

z- 10. (something)

Sorry my bad,

x - jitters constantly between 0 and 0.08

y - jitters constantly between 0.2345 and 3145
x - jitters constantly between 9.8106 and 9.101

Mine seem similar, the jittering is what makes me think theres a fault.

well it should not jitter like that.. i mean the 3rd and 4th decimal place were jittering

yours 1st decimal place is also jittering..

lets wait for any other user to share his results...
