Xperia Arc S screen automatically turns on/off and phone automatically turns on when it's off

Hi,

I hope someone can help me:

I've already tried Sony PC Companion so my phone is completely up to date and I've also reset my phone (factory settings and reset settings) but still my screen is lightening up automatically, and when I turn off my phone it restarts (turns on) immediately again so my battery is dead within 1 hour.

Do someone know what to do?

As the problem remains even though you updated the phone and made a reset this is most likely a hardware problem in the phone. I recommend that you contact your local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) or a service location for assistance.

Mine did the same and it turned out to be software- in my case MX Player. I updated MX Player using Play Store yesterday and this has fixed the issue. Obviously I could have deleted this app too!!!! On another website I found a list of software that can cause this problem on Android phones- there were around another 4 app's that cause the same problem.

You might have an app acting up in the background.Repair phone software with sony update service.
