I have the new firmware 4.0.1.A.0.238 LT15i updated via PCC today.

Seems snappier (wishful thinking).
3D panorama (Did not work yet for me).
3D gallery app.
Screenshots in power menu.
New time widget.
Facebook share integration stuff.

Install it and you will see 5 folders
                                   Custom
                                   Drivers
                                   Firmwares
                                   Loaders
                                   X10Flasher_lib
take the firmware to the "Firmwares" folder
click on Falsh
Press Ok
it will ask you to connect your phone on Flashmode (turn off your phone, press the back button, then connect the USB) press OK

flashing is only if you want the latest update right away as soon as its released, the overheating problem? it heats up but it doesn't overheat or at least not with me, battery life its he same as any other smartphone (in my opinion)

you could wait for the Xperia Arc S instead

i'm very curious - does they fixed issue with main screen auto rotation when phone is in landscape mode?

Does it rotates in 2.3.4 ?

i want to update my phone to version 2.3.4 but the pc combination said that its updated by the latest version !!!

you have 2 ways: download 2.3.4 version from above and flash your phone

be patient and wait for official release (hopefully in 1 month)

do u mean that 2.3.4 version isn't officially released ?? cause i heared that its already released and if it wasn'twhat about the flash way is it safe or not ? and what are the problems may face me on that way ? if u knw when it wil be available at normal update way could u tell me when it will be?? :smileygrin:

it depends on country where you live. e.g. in my country i got latest update about on september 4-5, while on this forum it was available in the first days of august.

If you will update throug pc companion (as it should be), there will be no problems. At least i didn't face any when updated earlier versions.

it does NOT rotate on Landscape at all (the home screen doesn't)
