With 5.1.1 battery drains in standby as fast as in use

Hi guys. I need help.
I bought a Z3 tablet compact a week ago and my battery lasts in stand by as much as it lasts in use.

I tried in safe mode, same result. I have a 4G sim installed and stamina disabled. Droid 5.1.1
It should last orders of magnitude longer in stand by ...

I read somewhere that you should be able to resolve this issue with going into recovery mode and erasing update cache. I cannot get into recovery mode with instructions found online. I read that should get you into recovery:

1. shut down

2. press power and volume down and after vibration release power button

Does not work for me. Results in safe mode boot. I also checked from dev options that the device is not sim locked.

Please, help, ideas?

We'll need more info to better assist you

charge the phone 100% use it as you normally would then once the battery reaches 10%

settings > power management > battery > take screenshots of:

1. the list
2. tap on the graph and take a screenshot
3. back > tap on the top 4 items on the list > take a screenshot of each

post them all here or upload the screenshots to box or dropbox or google drive or etc and post the link

You have app and/or services that kept your phone awake, it could be anything from autobackup or auto updates to a third party app, you could try again for few hours in >>> safe mode

Roger, here are screenshots with an almost complete cycle in safe mode. I set it to safe after I did some DJI stuff, but it still shows in the list. I suppose that is normal?

So, do you have any Ideas? What should I try? It is really annoying. The battery seems to be in good health, but something keeps it awake in stand by? Slightly_frowning_Face

EDIT: I removed the SIM card and it appears the gremlin went quiet and in standby the device lasts now. I will charge a bit and try see how it goes without SIM. Although if it helps it ultimately is not a final acceptable solution Slightly_smiling_Face

Seems to be an app or setting that keeps the phone awake, WiFi its on all the time so that drain the battery but it has to be an app that keeps the phone awake

Do you agree that it has to be some part of the devices software not something I have installed myself, since it also stays awake in safe mode?

Do you have any suggestions, what could I try to resolve the issue?

Should I try to revert to previous firmware? Or would it be wise to sit tight until Marshmallow is here?
