I suggest that you use PC Companion to pair your phone via Wi-Fi.

Download and install PC Companion, press how to connect and chose Wi-Fi.

As for connecting to another phone with Wifi Direct on Xperia P, have tried to find the option but it doesn't seem to exist. Please post if you find it.

So far Samsung Galaxy S II is the only phone that I've seen supporting Wifi Direct file transfer.

PC Companion doesn't work for me over WiFi. It just kicks my Phone off the Computer when i start a file transfer.

I recommend using an FTP Server. Pick one, set it up and it works like a charm. Just like you had it connected via USB (transfer rates will be slower compared to USB).

I use this app btw: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lutey.FTPServer.

When you enable the server on your Phone you can easily access it via the Windows Explorer (Not the Windows Internet Explorer).

How? On the top bar that indicates the address. e.g: Where it says C:\Program Files.

If you want to send files to another phone you can use this app. It's not exactly WiFi Direct, it makes your Phone a portable hotspot so the other device connects and downloads the file from your Phone.
