This has been noticed on Z:

But nothing on Z2. Are you willing to perform a software repair too?

It appears that Sony's update has actually caused the WiFi and Bluetooth functionality to cease working.  Have had to send it back to Sony.  Very poor on Sony's part, no response from them at all either here or on their own service site.  Had to go through my mobile network provider to get the phone sent off under warranty.  I won’t be recommending Sony again that’s for sure.

This is one area that Sony really needs to improve on. Whether it's wifi, Bluetooth, gps, cell network, many other phones do it much better. Even cheaper ones like the Asus ZenFone 2. For a device like the z2, it should have top notch connections.

I also have wifi problems still. Firmware 690 fixed them for the most part, but firmware 723 and 28 broke it again. This is unacceptable for a flagship device, let alone a $700 phone made by a manufacturer as big as Sony. Even the speakers on this phone are considered low compared to other devices. I love my z2 and all, but there's MANY MANY areas where Sony needs to step up their game. And if they don't, people will end up going with other manufacturers.

Hi Sam.  I sent my phone off for repairs, and received it back today. After a week away, no change, no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth.  Sony’s findings were to rest the os and change settings, that’s all they did.  It still doesn’t work.  At this stage I'll be looking for a replacement unit or a refund.  This is not acceptable.
