Why Sony(Phony) won't make Jelly Bean for 2011's

The reason for that is 2011 are originally GB and they are not NXT, so it's different framework, which they do not want to update on our devices, every device from 2011 can run JB smoothly just like ICS, but it's is lagging because developers from Sony Phony are bad! Also JB would by my calculations would work better than ICS(from some tests + project butter), but as they said they won't make it, they wont! So sadly we won't see original Xperia JB on our devices, only stock ROMs. So I modified my Neo to look exactly like Xperia Z, because it looks cool, but the only problem is that I have no more System memory...but my point is, I WANT TO SEE ORIGINAL SONY JB ON MY DEVICE, which sadly I won't get(and not just me), so what Sony said about performance, that was a lie. They don't want to make new Framework Darn it

I am not even trying to write to sony, they just crap on their customers. Only think what we can do is revenge. Just write the truth - what you experienced with their crappy updates to comments on their facebook, and do it every day as much as you can, so they will lose potential customers. I am doing it.

yes you are right all 2011 xperias can flawlessly handle android 4.1 and even 4.2

It is not a question of ability of these phones to handle JB. IT is the question of time. as you might know all 2011 run 2.6 kernel of linux. To run JB and to enable project buter, kernel must be updated to 3.0 and above.Without 3.XX and above kernel project butter feature will not work (which is the main reason for updating). And Sony would have to compile both new kernel(3.4) and JB, which requires alot of time. besides there are a plenty of 2011 devices(12 if i am not mistaken). they prefer to spend time on developing new devices rather than updating old ones.

Also correct, but they have a state that they must update our devices 18 months after release, and there can be no reason to not update, performance for JB is not the reason, and the update(JB came in lasting of those 18 months) so they should release JB, they can split teams, or do some thing to update the devices, we should sue them! RESPECT FOR 2011 USERS :smileysilly:, but sadly, no. 😕 I'm tired of using custom ROMs, that is just lame for me, Sony has great system+bloatware apps, so please Sony JUST MAKE IT!

My question is , if our phones can run ICS ... Then why not jb ?? My neo l handles everything smoothly aftr the recent update , but it still lags at times during multitasking... And I'm sure jb will fix this ... And besides, neo l was launched in mid 2012 .. Thats why it had ics from the beginning, why are you betraying us Sony ?

I think you become a greatest fan of SE by saing "phones can run ICS".

First of all there is no update of ICS

Second though some people got ICS, they faced hell lot of problems with ICS and the way sony handling.

My Xperia Ion have nice software support, so will continue to buy Sony.

Btw 18 months can mean just ICS matainence update and not Jelly Bean. No need to sue Sony. lol.

Dude calm down ... Sony is doing the best they can to provide us with prompt customer support ... We will get JB ... Only the phones currently running ICS out of the box have a chance of being upgraded to JB .... After that they will look at the older models which makes it easily about 9-10 months , maybe even an year ... Sony has nothing to gain by cheating their existing customers ... And in my opinion, it is way better than its rivals Samsung etc ....
