Hi, my question may seem daft to some but with the speed that technology runs at these days, WHY does it take so long to back up an Xperia S phone, when it works at all that is?
Most of the time I try to do a backup on this horrid phone it does not work it just comesup with error....
The other times it starts, it takes anything from 1/2 hr to 1 hr to 'find' all of the info on the phone to back it up & on the few occassions it has worked it has taken from 1 - 2 hours to actually carry out the back up - WHY? Why does it take so long? The technology is well understood, the interface between the phone & computer as well as between Android & Windows seven / eight, is well understood. So why does it take so long? Also the failure rate I get for the backups is probably 90 - 95%. Straight after the initial installation of the Sony software on my (BRAND NEW) laptop the first time it failed & has consistently failed every time since.
Before this one I had a Samsung Galaxy S. Which in my opinion was both quicker & more reliable in its use & when I backed up stuff It did it first time every time, without fail. Whereas the Sony software is, or appears to be pathetic in operation, not very functional & doesn't work most of the time.
I am selling this phone pretty soon & going back to the galaxy range, 'cos I've had enough of this shite!
So does anybody have any ideas on how to back up this phone? Both quicker and so that it is pretty much guaranteed to work?
