Can't find any update button or link on the lt30p update site, can't even by using pcc. It just keep telling the software on my phone is newest.

you can download the TFT file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228799

you can use Flashtool to flash the downloaded TFT file onto your phone.

It's simple: copy the tft in the folder where you installed the flashtool (devices or firmwares idk exacly) and click the flash button, select your tft and follow the instructions.

if it's any help the update was applied to my phone yesterday the connection manager software informed me it was available and I live in the UK. It should be getting rolled out to everyone shortly I would assume. I would warn you though the update removes all your apps requiring they be re installed. It also adds back on all the bloatware that originally came with the phone. Also backup your contacts etc before the upgrade as these also need to be replaced. It's a painful process to be honest and from what I can see it's for like one software fix to the WM music player. That most people had resolved by installing winamp or alike anyway. If I had known what the process involved and what the outcome was I wouldn't have bothered updating it was far more work than what it was worth.

I updated my phone yesterday without any problems. For me no needed to backup and restore. I used SUS not PCC.

you dont need to root your phone in order to flash the tft.

you can root your phone after you flash it if you want.

updated today via the Xda link thats been posted , can report that the phone is very much more responsive and all the bugs that we had prior to the update seem to have been fixed , well done sony for doing this .

it might have taken a while but im a happy bunny now.

also rooted the handset via the instuctions given .

The update is still being rolled out. Depending on your country/operator PC Companion might say you have the latest version even though you don't have .140. You should receive it soon.
