Disappointing Service Duration

Hi folks,

I sent my Xperia S to Sony service center (SEMS Penang, Malaysia) at 18 March 2013, due to the infamous display yellow tint.

A month has since passed, and I'm surpised my phone is still not ready!
The reason is that the part (front cover) is unavailable yet -- no estimated date could be given.

Then I wrote an email to Xperia Support to explain the situation, I've been told that the part should be ready by third week of April.

Wow this implies that they'll keep the phone for another 2 weeks, for a total of 6 weeks?

Sony could you do better in the future?

At this rate there'll be no way I'd recommend this brand to anyone.

Aren't we supposed to get a 1-1 replacement for the yellow tint defect in the first place?

I'm very sorry to hear that your service is taking so long and i'm sure your local Sony Xperia support have escalated this as feedback.

How service is handled might differ between regions. Here in Sweden we also replace the display.
