Could not restore files...Help!!!

HI,

I am having Xperia Arc

I was having that "My phone does not turns on" problem, then I decided to repair the software.

Using the Pc Companion I've done all the requested steps.

The problem is: when I try to restore the backup I've made I get the following error: "Could not restore files".

Even when I choose only to restore contacts, the "Applications" is also included in the restore list.

Then the Contact percentage goes to 100%, while restoring, and the error message appears.

Any ideas or suggestions?
I even have the backup .sbf file.

If I could open it and take the data I need it would also be great.

What software did you use to make the backup?

I have been used the Andoid App Backup & Restore.

But once i repair my phone after that i couldnt able to restore, it was giving me error.

Do you mean the app we had for Xperia X8, X10 mini and X10 mini pro on m.sonyericsson.com/backup? In that case that could be the problem. That app is not supposed to work with Android versions after 2.1. You could try restoring it with the following app and see if that works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spritemobile.backup

If you used another app then the one we have for X8, X10 mini and X10 mini pro i recommend that you contact the developer of this app to see what can be done with the file you have.
