Hello,
I have a quite a large music colection and I like to mix it up. I have created multiple folders (10+) in Music folder and have between 15 and 30 mp3s in each folder. The problem i have is when I open the folders (Albums) it may only show 5 or 6 mp3's (always the same ones) and not the remaining tracks.
I can see all the mp3s all via songs or artists but not in Albums. It is frustrating as I would just like to select the album and see all the tracks. Also if I upload a normal (commercial) album it shows every track perfectly.
Any ideas please?
Jon
The Walkman app does not sort the music by the folders you have on the internal storage/SD card. It sorts the music from the id3 tag. The songs must belong to the same album to be shown together under "album" in Walkman. And if an ID3 tag is missing or not correct, it will not be sorted under the right album.
You can try to download music info in the Walkman player. Open Walkman > my music > menu button > download music info.
Interesting, I will check it out.
Well that has downloaded lots of song info but not cured the missing mp3 files.
When I look at my folders on the PC all the mp3s are there but it is not seeing them in walkman under album. Saying that it does not see them in winamp as well so maybe a deeper issue?

haywire suggested to rescan all media files. Here are the apps on the playstore that do that and resolve the problem of the walkman not showing mp3 files. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dcd.scanmedia or you could even try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascanner. Everyone else who responded with copy, format, MSC to MTP etc were all not working.
you would need to reboot your phone for walkman to re-update it's music list then those mp3 files thats missing shall appear in your walkman app
