If you be afraid virus:

download a free antivirus (Avast)

or, connect your phone to your PC and display the card. PC antivirus scan your memory card.

Maybe it's not a virus .. card backup and re-format.

Maybe the data has become corrupt

Backup all important stuff from memory card to pc and format your sd card Slightly_smiling_Face

well Vbose, even i face same kind of problems, nothing to worry.have a download a quickheal antivirus(30 days trial pack) and then you  can scan your entire memory and then backup all ur necessary files and format ur memory card (remember don't use the "quick format " option.Store all your files in a separate folder and before u restore ur files into ur phone, rescan the folder and then proceed.if possible have a factory reset to ur phone after a proper backup Slightly_smiling_Face

its shows shortcuts in mobile ???

Means you are connecting it in MSC mode....

try connecting it in mtp mode... settings > xperia > connectivity > usb connectuon mode > MTP Slightly_smiling_Face

Its connnecting in MTP mode.. but it doesn't detect automatically... Auto detection is disable in MTP mode.

Further while in MTP mode I am not able to access memory card through Phone.

Is there any other solution ??

Make sure your windows media player is updated to latest version

Same goes for Java driver http://www.java.com/winoffline_installer

Try turning off firewall and antivirus..

Allow full access to pc companion in firewall
