Updating Issue

My Sony Xperia P is running the latest available software. But I am having some issues (album, lag etc) so I decided to re-install the current software.

Unfortunately Sony update service(SUS) is not showing options for older phones and PC companion saying that Windows 7 or previous Windows will be required to update this phone model.
What should I do now? I don't have windows 7 PC.
any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Run SUS in compatibility mode for W7.

You have installed sony update service,right?Right click on it,properties,compatibility,tick the little box and select windows 7.

Bro i have windows 8 not windows 7. but than also i changed its compatability to win7 and then also the same problem exist. And u were talking of PC companion right?

No,sony update service.PC companion does not work.

so in SUS there is no option in Properties menu for the Compatability 😕

You install SUS,you have a shortcut called update service.Right click on it,properties-you get more tabs,you go to compatibility,there you have to tick a little box and select windows 7.
