Update Problems with icons

My kitkat Xperia Z2 Tablet updated yesterday and now my "home", "return to pervious" arrow and "open window" icons at the bottom of the screen are distorted. Also, I no longer can close the notification icons at the upper left of the screen. Another troublesome issue is that the new interface showing open apps is larger, but off center at the bottom of the screen and I have no way to close them all at once as I did before the update. Lastly, faceboook notifications pop-up at any time interferring with what I am currently working on an I find it annoying to wait until they dissappear to continue wth my work. Is there a fix for these problems?

Could you elaborate on the virtual keys and the other issue, if possible post screenshots

regarding facebook notifications, are you referring to the facebook messenger notifications?

As Uliwooly asked, for the distorted icon give us a screenshot. But for the "Heads-up notifications" that annoys you, they can be swiped away anytime, if you want to disable them entirely you'll need a 3rd party app called HeadsOff (Free, but with pro feature key), or you'll need to root your device and be able to tweak such system settings.
