Update Issues

Hi all,

I have been trying to update my phone this past few days with the new update.

My PC connects to the handsome and informs me of the new update but then when it goes through the process, it powers down the phone then nothing.

A little while later it says plug in phone and press volume down as to which I do, once again nothing.

I downloaded Sonys independant update service which tells me the same and still nothing.

I have turned my phone off for more than a minute.

I have tried it fully charged, partially charged etc. stil nothing

I am using a xperia Z

Hmmm do it through SUS. switch of the phone wait for atleast 30 seconds. you have to hold the volume down button while connecting USB cable to pc. so it can connect to flashmode. you'll get red and green light flash in notification LED once you successfully connect it.

Hi,

When running through the Update Service, you will need to ensure your phone is disconnected from the PC and completely powered off. Go through the steps until you're asked to connect your phone then make sure you're pressing and holding the volume key before, during and after inserting the USB.

You would need to keep the key held down and phone powered off at all times until the program advises you otherwise.
