I updated my phone and all my personal contacts that were saved to phone have vanished, I just have number in history. Nothing else. Tried going to apps and contacts force stop clear data etc doesn't work. HELP
Yes I've spent ages ticking and unticking one by one. It's driving me insane. I think most of my contacts were just stored on the device. I don't understand where they've gone.
@uliwooly@Crowsonk You guys have kind of covered mostly everything. I have seen similar threads in the past, have you tried to clear data for contacts app? Also, in your google account are there all your contacts or part of them?
Yes I've cleared data from contacts apps. I only had some saved in there grrrr the rest just on device. The numbers I've rang like family are showing in history just as numbers. It happened immediately following update.
Tried no joy. Lost a fair few numbers as well. Thanks for trying guys. If you think of anything else, please let me know. Do you know if the gt recovery app works or are they just a waste of time?
