Uninstalled apps keep trying to reinstall

I just got a new Z3 Tablet Compact (wifi only). I already have an Xperia Z1 phone, and when I entered my account all the apps I had installed on my phone were installed on my tablet. However, some of these are apps I would never use on my tablet, such as activity monitors, apps that link to my cell provider, etc. So I uninstalled them, using the menu on the right hand side of the screen and checking the ones I didn't want. All is well.

However, every time I turn on the tablet, it starts reinstalling these apps. How can I stop this from happening?

That is not normal, you can try to go to settings-apps-all,tap on the app, clear data and uninstall it.

From google play app you might have only removed your older installed apps (just a list).

That's odd

Playstore > settings > auto-update apps > do not auto update apps

I had actually tried that.

I made a mistake on my previous post. The menu I used first to uninstall was the left-hand menu (not the right-hand) when you're in the app screen. On that menu, when you click uninstall, there appears a little box with an x next to each app except the ones you can't uninstall. when you touch that box, the app goes away.  It's actually a nice and easy way to uninstall things.

The first time the apps reinstalled themselves, I thought maybe I should have used Settings/Apps instead, and uninstalled them from there. However, the same thing happened again. Out of curiosity, I uninstalled a few from the app screen menu, and checked to see if they still appeared in the Settings/Apps menu, and they didn't.

However, it hasn't happened again, and the only reason I can see that it's stopped is that in the meantime I've cleared the notifications list, that tells you what apps have been installed. It's not very intuitive, but I hadn't done anything else that would have stopped it.

Just to be precise, I had never installed or deleted anything using Playstore. These were apps that were installed (restored) automatically when I signed into my Gmail account on my new Z3 tablet. They were apps that I have on my Xperia Z1 phone, but didn't want on my tablet, so after the restore process was complete, I manually removed those four or five apps.

Also, it has nothing to do with automatic updates. The apps had been uninstalled, so not subject to updates, either automatic or manual,  and were automatically reinstalled when the tablet was reactivated. It must have something to do with the notifications list because after I cleared that, it no longer happens. Maybe the restore process was perceived not to be complete.

Are you willing to try a software repair? I can't seem to understand what could be the issue here.

Actually, since it's no longer happening, I have no further interest, other than curiosity and the desire to point out an anomalous behavior.
