Unable to edit video

Hi,

I am trying to make mobile movies through my Xperia U but Windows live movie maker on my Windows 7 doesn't support the video format of this phone.

I tried all the tips from microsoft suppor forums like disabling some codecs, installing the previous version of movie maker etc but it still doesn't help.

I would like to know which is the video editor that can work on this format OR which is the converter that can convert the Xperia U video format (.mp4) to WMV while retaining the quality, which can be thereafter edited on movie maker.

Well, I've used Adobe Premiere/Elements and it works just fine with mp4 files. I'm sure there are converters out there that can convert the mp4 files to something that suits Windows Movie Maker, but I haven't used any myself.

Thank you. I have Adobe CS4 on my system. I changed the project settings and it started working. Thanks again.
