Album artwork no longer coming through - Xperia S

Can anyone tell me WHY there is never any album artwork any more when I copy albums across to my Xperia S? I am SO sick of looking at those stupid 'blank LP' covers; when there is perfectly good album artwork showing in iTunes, AND in  the useless 'Sony Bridge for Mac', when I synch the album from there. I've tried the 'Android transfer' app'; that doesn't work either. It's been happening for a while now, though I always used to get the artwork. The only time I get artwork now is if it's an MP3 I've downloaded, rather than a CD I've bought. Can anyone tell me what's happened; is there something I need to update?

if you have your music on a PC open the music folder > view > thumbnail > does each song/file has the album cover? if it does then just copy paste the music on your Xperia if not then open windowsmediaplayer and look for the album info.

you can also open the walkman app > my music > menu > download music info

I'm using a Mac... Hence why I'm using 'Sony Bridge for Mac'; though this shows the artwork in the 'synch' window. (you always seem to be the person that answers my queries; I hope Sony is paying you for all this work that their technical advisers should be doing... )

you have few options

1) use the walkman to download the album art

or

2) you can use album grabber (app)

it seems that I do answer most of your questions :smileysilly:, and no Sony doesn't pay me, I do this for fun whenever I have some spare time.

Thanks very much; I never noticed that 'Download music info' option in the Walkman. I started it, but it seems to be trying to update every single track on there; this will take hours. So I stopped it & just went into one of the albums with the missing artwork, but I'm still not sure it understands I only want to download info for that one album; it seems to be preparing for some long job.... Will see how it goes; I need to sleep soon anyway so may have to look at this again tomorrow.

I agree, it should look for the info when you transfer the music.

Thank you. The artwork is all there in Sony Bridge for Mac, but it does not come through onto the phone.

I have a whole bunch of issues with Sony Bridge - where do I start...?..!

- Back-up does not work.

- Cannot transfer any files from any other folders on my Mac, except from iTunes & iPhoto (which I do not use; my photos are stored elsewhere).

- When I try to upload photos taken with the phone onto my Mac, & I click on 'show only phone photos' (or whatever the wording is - don't have it in front of me now); it insists on showing every single image on the phone, including the dozens I have transfered from the Mac, taken with my camera. This takes forever, as there are a lot of photos on the phone - but I am only asking it to show the photos taken with the phone!

Generally it's pretty poor & doesn't really work well at all.

Hi AliWonder,

I have noted your problems and will pass them on to the development crew. However, before I do so, could you download the latest version of Bridge and see if any of your problems have been resolved?

Should you find any other problems with the new version please make me aware of them as well.
