Hi, I'm having serious problems with the touch screen. Touches just abort in the middle of a drag and restart and stop again, etc. This is especially annoying when gesture-typing (which is the main reason why I made the switch from iOS to Android).
Have a look at this video to see the problem in action: Touch Problem Video - Drawing is unusable and gesture-typing produces garbage
This doesn't happen all the time, it's working perfectly fine 75% of the time, but several times each day it just goes bad like that (I'm thinking mostly after extended use? could be heat-related?).
Anyone else having this problem? What can I do? (Yes, I tried restarting it...)

Hello i had that problem and finally resolve it
use the SUS software
and factory reset the phone and update (really important)
after everything is completed, run Diagnostics, and you will see no more yellow line cutting
hope this helps
Hello.
Has anyone had this issue recently, and solved it somehow? Does the SUS solution actually work? This problem appears and disappears randomly, which means it's very hard to actually say if it has been solved just by doing a few tests. It might just re-appear a couple of days later.
So, has anyone managed to solve this for good?
Given that they have not responded earlier this would generally indicate that the problem was resolved. I would advise trying the software repair as a first step in this case.

Well, no, it was not resolved. I used the SUS software, did the factory reset and here I am, with a worsened issue. The problem can now be also felt in menus, something that did not happen before. So before you consider doing this, bear in mind it does not only fail to fix the touch screen issue - it could also make it worse. I am getting really tired of the problems this allegedly 'high end' phone has.
It seems you have the same issue as the one in this thread: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1/Z1-Touchscreen-issue/td-p/434537/page/2. I have forwarded it for further investigation and i will update that thread as soon as i have more information.
