Xperia E dual lags

I've using Sony Xperia E dual for almost a month now. I am facing the problem that if I don't unlock the phone for few hours (say 1 hour) after pressing unlock key it starts lagging and continues lagging for about one minute. Another problem same as in discussion forum is 'Echo problem'. Please give me the solution. Lagging is far more frustrating. Hope Sony answer me at the earliest.

try to repair your phone using http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

please backup important data.

please also be mindfull of the apps you install as they may cause these problems.

as for the echo problem try to contact your local service center http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Now in JB (4.1), I experiment the same lags but that is wayyyy more often than in ICS (4.0).

That's even more annoying when phone rings because it doesn't react when i swipe to answer !

I've checked all my additional apps. Here's the list, can you help ?

- Nova Launcher Prime (as launcher replacement)

- Estrongs File Explorer 3

- Facebook (notifications disabled)

- Power toggles

- Wallpaper Changer (not configured to change background regularly but only when I tap a shorcut for next wallpaper)

- TuneIn

- Games : Angry Birds Seasons, Space, Star Wars, Shufflepuck Cantina

- French apps for transport, not running any service : TER SNCF, Transport Lille

my phone are already slow

it might be due to the power saver as it disables many apps and when the screen turns on it enables all disabled app so this take many cycles of the cpu making your phone slow and laggy

Indeed, that would be true if power saver was enabled, which I haven't done and won't.

Behaviour is definitely reproductible. Lag does not happen if you unlock during the first minutes after screen switched off. Dunno exactly how many minutes by the way.

That means that a process starts exactly when you press power button to switch screen on. That process needs about 30 seconds to start and run smoothly in memory.

I wonder if there's a way to monitor precisely what happens.

if you have the latest update, it configures the power saving thing by default. did you disable it?

on my phone, with the power saving disabled the problem decreases intensity (the lag goes away quicker) but it is still there.

i am going to sell it before i throw it at a wall.

i am very disapointed with this phone; i am also disapointed that most dual sim phones seem to be bug ridden; even the expensive samsung devices. but i am looking for a galaxy win.

maybe in a couple of years xperia.

I've found a solution for the lag problem after locking the screen. The only thing you'll need is the SetCPU application (and obviously a rooted device) to configure the way your processor works. The solution it's quite simple, and consists in setting the cpu to performance governor while the phone screen is off, preventing it from entering deep sleep mode. I did a screenshot of my profile page on SetCPU to indicate the way i configurated my device.

I consider that solution better than using apps like Softlocker or No Sleep because these apps crashes often and they not 100% guarantee that your device won't enter deep sleep mode.

Any questions feel free to ask, sorry for poor english.

Hello Gabone,

I cannot see your picture and I'm really interested on it, so I click the right options... Could you post it again ?

Thanks a lot
