Tipo touchscreen problem

I got my tipo on 22nd September. But only today i noticed that the drag or hold on the touchscreen never works! Be it for deleting home screen icons or the design unlocker thing. Is this a common problem. Also i am from kolkata,India.And it seems like no sony service centera are in my city. What to do?

Its just a software issue. yesterday went to SONY service center and within 5 minutes they resolved the issue.....now phone working like silk smooth.

Just dont try to repair or update any software from internet or sony PC companion, move to service center and get it done.

For SONY, kindly provide software patch in support section for screen calibration  or this issue which is with service center. It helps.

Moral: No hardware issue, just a small software need to patch in phone.

Hi Nabeel,

Last Saturday I went to a Sony service center. They took an hour to resolve. Totally I spent half day and Rs. 250 to got that done. The phone was working fine till yesterday, From yesterday I am facing the same problem again, What would you suggest now?

It seems, again I have to go to the service center, need to spend some time and money, But still I dont believe that would give a permanent solution.

Can you suggest a permanent solution for this problem?

I bought my tipo st21i2 last monday by ebay and it is also not working. I re-installed the firmware using sony companion, no success. The phone is practically unoperable. I cannot type a word. I`ve tried talking to sony here in Brazil, they said it is not an issue that can be solved in my country, the phone should not be sold here...

Can anyone that had it`s phone repaired create a firmware and submit?

Please Nabeel, report this to Sony engineering in order to make a patch before sony image start to be ruined by this model and the sola model, which also suffer from this issue.

WHO SO EVER IS HAVING THE TOUCH SCREEN PROBLEM,GO TO YOUR NEAREST SONY SERVICE CENTRE AND GET THE SOFTWARE UPDATED...TAKES HARDLY10MIN...I HAD THE PROBLEM TOO,GOT MY PHONE'S SOFTWARE UPDATED AND NOW THE TOUCHSCREEN WORKING VERY FINE...

Could anyone that had it's phone repaired generate an ftf file from it to help other users? What is the firmware number after repair? 11.0.a.0.?

I am waiting for your reply. I can not use ths phone because of the touch screen problem. What should I do now? I will not go to the service center again, hence it is too long from my home and I have already visited there once as you have told us.

How hard is get a patch? a month ago I bought the phone and goes very wrong I have to stay? without two weeks for something that is repaired in two minutes? and get a rom, a fix and optimize well and pass the OS because it goes bad .......... Sony was the best thing before now is garbage in for service ..... be if someone you please upload a rom .... and so we fix it because if we wait ............ T_T

PD: PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3, PSVita, stereo, stereo in the car, TV bravia ... never a single problem but with phones ... move your ases! Staff

I have the same problem , I buyed tipo dualsince 17 days here in Egypt and the touch screen is bad since yesterday.I will go to the service center . I wish it could help.
