While configuring my Gmail account in my Xperia X10 Mini, I am constantly getting this message The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly, and I am unable to go any further. What could be the reason for this?

Try a factory reset.

Settings>USB SD Card...> Factory Data Reset

It was really a fast  response, but another query: Is this going to erase all my contact details, messages, call details, configuration settings including Internet settings, etc.

Unfortunately, Yes. Sorry that I didn't mention it in my first response. This will delete everything on phone. Sim and SD card won't be affected. You first try a reboot.

About internet settings I use BSNL INDIA and if I do a data reset and when my phone is switched on the phone automatically configures internet settings, provided you have GPRS activated. I hope this will work on yurs too. Another thing you can do is to wait for some time, because it may be a server error on google.

Thanks for the info and advice. I would first try the reboot, and waiting, options before going in for Factory Data reset.

There's an application called aLogCat that may help.

It logs the events on the phone and you can then open the app and it reads the log file and shows you  a bit like a notepad.

you can then scroll through until you see the listing for process stopped. It even lets you email or 'bluetooth send' the logs to yourself or whereever

it allows settings for verbose or brief or whatever....

This way there is less guessing and a slightly more definitive way of deducing the solution... good luck.

I'm still using the phone but just yesterday,  I accidentally deleted some applications that were connected to the HOME menu. and everytime i turn on my phone I see "The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly" and all i can see is the notification panel and a black screen with a title "GO Launcher Ex". I can't go to the settings menu because everytime I use the Home Button, nothing appears but the black screen. How can I reset the phone? Please help.
