According to the specification here on the website, both devices will support a Qualcomm S4 chipset. MSM8260A.
My question is that according to the specification, T has Qualcomm "Krait" MSM8260A while TX has Qualcomm MSM8260A only
Any difference between this?
Also I have read from GSMarena that T supports a Krait processor while TX has a Scorpion processor, what I know about the Scorpion processor
is that it is the predecessor of Krait and it's S3 based.
I'm a little lost here.. does the TX really have S4 chipset or it's another S3 chipset that has been upgraded only? because from what I know S4 chips are always Krait based architecture.
EDIT: I noticed from the Sony specification site today that TX has 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8260-A but looking on the white paper it's only MSM8260 (lol it's S3 w/o an A) but yesterday I printed a hardcopy of the white paper of TX and it's showing MSM8260-A (S4 Chipset) so what happened to the white paper? it's edited again. this creates confusion to the readers and potential customers/buyers.
can anyone from the mods here clarify what really is the processor of TX?
here is the link of comparison http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4899&idPhone2=4959
I hope so, or maybe they have left overs from the Xperia S
I checked the WP now for Xperia TX and it shows 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8260-A Dual Core.
And as I understand it's the correct one.
Good breakdown of specs for the new devices: http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/08/31/specifications-compared-xperia-ttx-vs-xperia-v-vs-xperia-j/

Hi, 4 days left...
there's any news about?
Hey brother,
have you find out the actual specssheet of T and TX.. Im really following up this going discussion and i have been got confused in between these two.
I also want to change my Xperia Arc S and want to buy TX if it is Krait with 225.
if not than i have to go with Xperia T only.
I wish Xperia V could have comeup with Krait with Adreno 225.
I found info about the MSM8260A that mention in sony white paper on qualcomm wiki page, here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip)
As we can see... there is the type Adreno 225 GPU with the 28nm, marked on Sony Xperia TX
Also I found a video that running on benchmark test, that XPERIA TX has the Adreno 225 GPU (02:54)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxU1QDAN7lE&feature=player_detailpage#t=174s
