Xperia Go! - Upgrade to ICS - Recommended

Hi,

Been reading and answering many comments and queries already about the upgrade issues = to me i wast first hesistant from the first place turning my GB to ICS. And to all the issues that were encountered by each and everyone (others seems to be end user or hardware failures), i thus also have them before especially with the lagging experienced.

Previous unit configuration:

- from first released of the GB version - ought to have no issues at all, but, after upgrading my unit with the first GB uprade i lost my GPS and have signal issues. thus, this issue then let me consider upgrading to ICS and forgetting all those being experience by other users

Current unit configuration:

- ICS 4.0.4 - Rooted - for a laggy experience i used android booster to fix this, limit my background applications i do not need all the time - which means have to disable them as background processes instead - and allow manual opening when required.

- 32GB of MicroSD - almost full (w/ 3gb as reserved)

- maintain 1GB of my internal memory

========================================

- play the following games

     --- Justice League

     --- Asphalt 7

     --- MSM Pro

     --- Heavy Gunner

during running this games - notice that it will almost eat your RAM giving you at leat 15Mb left, and at this point i experience the lagging issues. all i need to do then is clear my MEM using advanced task manager or android booster.

fix my gps using fasterfix - allows me to acquire gps signal at approximately less than a minute (regardless of my location - but not inside your house or room since gps is a connection dependent system which require clear blue sky). acquiring time is acceptable to me already.

i usually use the following applications

- sms

- phone

- contacts

- walkman

- gps (when i need it only)

- email

- google calendar

--------------------------------------

background applications

- internal to Android OS - all android system services (except fb, maps)

- background process limit - standard

- 3rd party apps (officesuite, advanced task manager, vault, app lock, blacklist, smartapplock)
