Xperia P ICS lock screen issue.

I have an Xperia P with ICS.

When I change the lock pattern to pin and then lock my screen, for the first time when i unlock my cell it asks me for the pin.

Then again when i lock the phone and wana unlock it, it does not ask's for the instead the slide to unlock is displayed.

If any one have any idea how to resolve this issue pls do let me know.

How long is it between the second lock/ unlock procedure?

Do you use Exchange Active Sync?
