Syncronization turns off for no reason

Every so often, the option to automatically syncronise accounts turns itself off.

Very annoying, as I rely on my phone for work e-mails that I must respond to quickly, but when this option turns itself off, obviously I do not get any alerts.

This happened under 2.3.4, and is stilll happening after a reset and upgrade to 4.0.4

Do you have any power saving, anti virus or similar app's installed?

Follow the steps carefully....

a) Perform a MASTER RESET on your phone.

b) Connect it to PC companion and perform a phone repair.

c) Open SONY UPDATE SERVICE(SUS), Using SUS reinstall your phone software.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I just recently upgraded to 4.0.4 choosing the reset/format options, which presumably does the same thing as you are suggesting.

I don't have any power saving/ anti virus or similar apps installed, but the problem may be related to an app, as my wife also has teh same phone and the same problem, and just recently we have both also lost all the pictures for our musci albums, and had all ringtones/notifications changed at random.

The apps we both have installed on top of standard 4.0.4 are:-

1. Compass (catch.com)
2. ConvertPad - Unit converter (sunny moon)
3. Eltiempo.es
4. GNotes (Dato)
5. GTasks (Dato
6. IMDb
7. Unblock me FREE (Kiragames)
8. Wikipedia  (wikimedia foundation)
9. Translate  (Google)

Is there a forum or someplace to check what applications cause problems?

I have now resintalled by phoen with SUS and not loaded on any apps (just updated pre-installed apps)

And still experience the same problem.

P.S. Do I need to start a new thread, as this one is marked assumed answered?

How can I mark it not answered?
