Sync outlook stuff with phone

Ive just got the vivaz pro and was using the x1 before, have all my contacts and stuff on MS outlook and cant seem to get it to the new phone, can anyone help??

Hi,

I would firstly recommend installing the Sony Ericsson PC Companion software for your Vivaz Pro on to your PC. This can be downloaded from the link below.

Once installed, you can use the synchronisation feature to synchronise your Vivaz Pro. This will transfer all contacts and calendar dates from Microsoft Outlook onto your handset directly. I hope this helps you.

that's a load of rubbish! SE PC Companion does not let you import from Outlook (at least it doesn't on my Vista PC)

There is a better way. Get CompanionLink and Google calander Sync on your PC. Sync contacts+calendar to your google account. Sync phone to your google account with Roadsync. All update will be automatic from that point onwards

Hi,

This does depend on which model of handset you have. If you have the Vivaz Pro handset, you will be able to synchronise with MS Outlook using the PC Companion.

It does not work. PC Companion will only sync the phone with the PC Companion off line holdings. Ther is no way to import into PC Companion form Outlook. If you know better please explain how it is done as I will have to do something elase than use a Vivaz Pro which was sold on the basis that it will import form Outlook. Its amazing in this daya nd age that this bascis feature is not standrd on this phone. Even my old Z600 could do this.

Hi,

I plugged my Vivaz Pro via USB to my work pc and was trying to sync phone and pc. some time ago it worked. (same for my home laptop) but due to problems with the phone I had to send it in for repair. after that working with SE PC Companion did not work at all. So I reinstalled it.

Now the Software works and tries to sync.

trying is the problem:

-work pc with lotus notes: you can sync everything but calendar (can write to phone but not to notes calendar)

-home laptop with outlook 07: sync? what's that again?

I've had the chance to experience this setup to work and now there is no chance to get it running. Only difference I can tell of is: software update.

looks like it has been a big improvement

any chance to fix the problem I encounter?
