Switching keyboards in fullscreen apps

Using ICS on Xperia S with the xperia keyboard, I'm wondering if I can change to holding text area to switch keyboards like with gingerbread. That or a way to switch between different keyboards while in full screen apps. This became a problem with ICS because I can't drag down notifications while in full screen.

This has, as you might have noticed, changed in ICS. You now need to click the "12!?-button" and then access the settings menu from the key with tools on to change the layout of the keyboard.

I'm looking to switch keyboards, the "select input method" menu. All that does is change settings on my Xperia keyboard. Basically what I'm trying to do is to switch between Xperia and Xperia Japanese keyboards while in full screen.

Ah, alright. Must have misunderstood you. If you want to change keyboard there are several options on Google Play.
