I had this Echo problem on Sony Tipo.
went to service center got to know that mobile cover is the Culprit
but i wanted to know why this cover will lead to this problem !.
Then i read the user guide and in that came to know it has
DUAL mic
The Second Mic is for Reducing the Background Noise
so it made some logic that puting the Cover the Secondary Mic was not getting any input
and the voice from the speaker it thought as noise and ECHO ed back
1 .So removeing the Mobile cover solved 70% of the echo issue
2. And there is WARNING in the userguide
"Do not cover the second microphone while making a call"
so the way we hold the mobile phone also impacts this phone
Question to Sony Support is
1.Where is the Second Mic located ?( not shown in user guide
)
2.Is there an option to disable the Noise Reduction Feature ?
Hope this info will be helpful to others
Hi Ganesh,
Thanx for the sloution...
i was facing the same problem but after removing case cover, echo problem resolved
Hello Naad,
Wanted to know is 100% echo problem is solved
or the intensity/volume of echo is reduced by removing the cover ?
Hi,
Yes...the intensity/volume of echo is reduced by removing the cover.
But it is not completely removed.
Any solution?
What it seems now is the interferance of the
Speaker and the MIC in the Phone
that's why there is no easy solution.
1.Use stero headset the problem is not seen
2.The way you hold the mobile has a impact so hold it on the edges .
Did one more Test to confirm to know it is due to speaker and MIC interferance.
Observation:
1.Kepping the phone volume less the echo problem reducess
2.Increase the phone volume and the echo problem starts increasing
3.Switch on the Speaker Phone mode other person will have very discomrt hearing you !..
Others
Please comment with speaker mode the other person on the line has no issues.
This will confirm if it is a design problem or few elotronic componet problem in some phones.
I will look into this and get back to you.
its already 10 days, did you lookinto the issue Sony Xperia support?
