Stutter and lag while scrolling.

Hello,

I recently bought an xperia z1. I got it the day update .757 was released. Because of that i never really enjoyed the smoothness people said they were enjoying with the 4.3 version of android.

With this 4.4.2 version, i'm experiencing alot of lag while scrolling. Apps like phonebook, e-mail, gmail and facebook all have a tough time when scrolling through pages. Stuttering and lagging all around. Chrome scrolls quite fine, but hangs occasionaly.

This scrolling wasn't that bad on my old xperia s, hence this topic.

Now my question: Is this a well known fact, and are you guys working on an update which makes sure the lag goes away? Or is there any way to fix this problem right now?

I think i accidentaly pressed solved. Does this mean i don't get a reaction anymore?

Anyhow, i tried the newest 4.3 firmware and i noticed that things go much smoother and fluent than on this 757 kitkat firmware. It's like the cpu is loading alot less and thus giving the os more space to focus on the smoothness.

I had the same problem. While I was on holiday I updated to 1274-8313-14.3a.0.757, shortly after I started noticing that multitouch was not working correctly. In fact it became a nightmare, the problem mainly occurs during anything cpu intensive, for example candy crush or google earth would become useless.

Today I have downgraded the firmware to .681 and since then no problems - back to its smooth responsive behavour I first noticed when I bought it. 

Although this is not a solution its certainly better than being unable to run your favourite apps.

Hey guys,

Ive been using my xperia z1 for about 2 months now and its great except for 2 problems which i need a bit of help with. My current software version is 4.4.2 and model number is c6903

1. I send a lot of text messages and every now and then the touch screen does not respond correctly, for example is i touch the letter "a" it will produce a list of other letter or words that have nothing to do with the letter "a" and it creates its own predictive input. Also it will not scroll correctly and will not allow me to select an app as it thinks I’m pressing somewhere else. I have gone into the diagnostics and done the touch screen test but only a restart fixes the problem. Please help....

2. Is it possible to not have notifications play so loud while on a call yet still be switched on while not on a call?

I hope someone out there can help me!!!

@DaDragon : So you say that 681 has much smoother performance? I tried 1.136 (4.3) and that made it a bit smoother but much worse on the battery.

Well, the thing that's bothering me most is the stutter in the phonebook. I reïnstalled 757 and i noticed it immediately. Quite hard to go around this.

I might go and try 681 to make sure it's really something from 757.
