Stuck during update

Ok I get Xperia Ray I'm trying to update to 4.0.2.A.0.62 I'm using pc companion

I follow the Step 1 and 2 when it says uplug USB, Turn off phone, wait 5 secs, plug USB into PC, Plug USB into phone while holding volume button down.

I do that when home button lights up green and screen stays black. It does nothing else and I canit switch it on or anything while it doing that. My the pc companion says seraching then goes Phone Not Connected. I can use my phone fine if i unconnect and switch back on. It just wont go to Step 3 - Update.

*I dont have any other PC to use

*I dont have another USB cable or USB port

Trying that now, I'm the 3 steps and still only getting the green button and black screen nothing else.

Now i'm getting popups telling me to restart my computer, Should I do this?

LED would go green and screen would remain blank

So nothing to worry, just see the progress on PC ( sus )

If your mobile is connected and is in the process of updating then don't restart your PC

I restarted my computer and started the update thing again Yes it's finally at the updating stage.

I must off just needed to restarted PC to finish the installation

It said Installation failed.

I charged it more and started update again its Done it this time, completed successfully.
