Sony z1 compact camera freeze

When i am taking a photo the camera just freezes. When i lock my phone and unlock it the photo seems not to be saved.

Unfortunatelly I have the same issue. Thinking to go back to previous firmware.

This is my first Sony phone and for sure will be the last one ...

I have this goddamn issue for more than 4 months. The response from sony is non existent. I guess that there wont be any fix. Next time i go apple iphone definately.

I've had this issue for some time, happened to me just now.

Was about to record a video...freeze. Closed the app, opened it and tried again...freeze. Restarted app tried to snap a phote freeze. Closed the app.

I went here to maybe find a solution and I think it's weak by Sony not to update on the progress. Anyhow, I launched the camera app again..switch to "face"-camera snapped a photo no freeze. Switched back to main cam, snapped a photo - No freeze!

I will try this again when the problem occurs, maybe someone else will give it a shot. In case it works it's a really cheao dirty quick fix.

Guys! Turn off the quicklaunch option on the camera. I did it 2 months ago and haven't had a single freeze since.

I have spoken to Sony today and they confirm that this (camera freezing issue) is a known issue that will be addressed in the next firmware update. I have asked Sony how long they have known about the issue and why Sony has not let customers know that it is a known bug on this forum.

Awaiting answers. 

Have you got any comment on the matter Sony forum Admin?

Hi guys !

I have solved this problem temporarly with simple hack and for now camera works already about month flawlessly and smootly as it supposed to work.

I used Clean Master app with "Kill tasks at screen turnoff" setting.

Hope, it helps.

PS. Only bad side, that builtin HDR feature still doesnt work at all with any settings.

My camera freeze and i cant open my file commander and album. Pls help. Tried clearing cache and still not working.
