Sony Xperia z3: Cant transfer messages, apps and so on

Hi!

I have transfered sucessfully all my content from iPhone 5 to my Xperia z3.  

I used Sony Bridge for Mac doing that. It said, that in the end it would be a "pop up" on my phone giving me further instructions how to open the apps, messages on the phone - but It never came one.I can see that the content is over, because it now have 9GB less memory than before, but I have now Idea how I can come in contact with the content.

Ideas, anyone?

I have this exakt problen (im also a Swede) My pictures and contacts works fine, but none of my 30.000+ old messages gets transfered. I have tried Bride on Mac, PC companion on Windows and also with a cable direct from iPhone to Z3. I dont know what more to do

Hi lagus!

Sorry to here about your problem.

First try to update to the latest version of BFM,

if you are running your mac computer on Yosemite you have to

uninstall BFM and then install a new version from a .dmg-file.

If it doesn’t work please provide me with more information and I will try to help you.

Android version:

If you give me that information I can talk with the development crew.

I run Yosemite and downloaded BFM directly from the webpage. Its verision 3.8.3. I also tried PC Companion on Windows 7 and directly with cable from iPhone (5s with iOS 8.1) to my Z3 Compact with Android 4.4.4. I can transfer everything but my messages. In BFM it says that i have 500+ messages but when i connect with cable and Xperia Transfer Mobile it says i have 30.000+ messages witch seems more likely. I have swiched off iMessage from the iPhone and my iPad

Sorry to hear about tour problem transferring the messages to you new phone.

I have been in contact with the development crew now.

I assume you have space on your phone because it's new.

Have you tried with PCC or XTM?

If you are not able to try PCC or XTM can you please send me your error logs.

Here’s how to get error logs from Sony Bridge for Mac:

1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the ”Xperia” menu. Select "Export logs"
4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
5. PM that file to me.

Hello

If you read my former answer again you see that i tried PCC and XTM without luck. I will try BFM again and get a log for you.

This time BFM (3.8.4) said it successfully transfered all the messages, but BFM just deleted all my messages i got on the Z3 so far (4 weeks). And as i said before BFM tells me i have 500+ messages on the iPhone, but in XTM tells me i have 33.000+ messages. And XTM should be right because i have saved all my messages since 2008. How do i send you the log?
