Okay I'm doing the update, how long is it supposed to take? I don't want to be sitting around for hours and hours

I bought a Sony Xperia U and at the end of the warranty period the phone's touch screen did not work at the corners. I can't type the letters a,d,s,x,e,q,z, and v. Now the warranty period is finished. When I reached the Sony Service centre regarding this touch screen problem, they said that it will cost around Rs.2500. Instead of spending this amount on this phone I might buy a new phone of SOME OTHER GOOD BRAND, OTHER THAN SONY. Even if I fix his touch screen it will again not work properly after one year again. When I browsed through the internet I found many people's complaint on touch problem. I don't know why SONY manufactures such a kind of phone.:smileyshame_on_you: I am really disappointed with SONY. I am waiting for a reply from SONY.
